Scientific interests

Molecular biology and biochemistry of zoonotic helminths, with implications into systematics, population genetics, and factors underlying resistance against anthelmintics.
Present emphasis is on genotyping and modes of speciation in model parasites coupled with examination of maintenance of adaptive polymorphisms.
