  • biology and ecology of vectors (predominantly ticks)
  • molecular detection of tick-borne pathogens (viral, bacterial and protozoal)
  • study of genetic diversity of vector-borne pathogens; in vitro cultivation of Babesia
  • eco-epidemiology of tick-borne diseases (tick-borne encephalitis, anaplasmosis, borreliosis, babesiosis, mycoplasmosis, hepatozoonozis, etc.)
