Scientific interests

• taxonomy and systematics of fish parasites, especially monozoic tapeworms of the order Caryophyllidea including their morphology, ecology and phylogenetic relations
• morphology, host spectrum, life cycle, geographical distribution and phylogeny of the genus Caryophyllaeus, common monozoic tapeworms of cyprinid fishes in Palaearctic zoogeographical region
• study of detail superficial structures of parasites visualized by using scanning electron microscope
